Show hidden files and folders
To do this, open the Control Panel and select the File Explorer options. File Explorer options are called folder options in Windows 8.1/7.
To view hidden files, folders and drives on your Windows computer 10:
1] Open File Explorer options
2] Click the View tab
3] Under Hidden Files and Folders, select Show hidden files, folders and drives.
4] Click Apply and Exit.
Show operating system protected files
If you want to show and hide operating system protected files, you must disable Hide Operating system protected files (Recommended) and click Apply.
There is another way. With the.exe attribu file, you can modify file attributes and/or display hidden files.
If you wish, you can also list all hidden files and folders on your Windows computer.
BONUS TIP : If you notice the ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’ option is missing, this registry setting will help. Alternatively, you can use our free FixWin software to solve this problem. You can find the patch in the explorer area.
