Last year, Microsoft launched the Your Phone application for Windows 10 users so that Android and iPhone users can synchronize their devices with their PC. The application has great potential, but it is still under development and does not always work as it should.
If you see a YourPhone.exe process on your PC, it is Microsoft’s Your Phone application. It runs in the background to stay synchronized with your mobile device. However, if you do not use the application often or if you do not want to use it due to performance issues, you can delete it from your computer.

To uninstall your phone under Windows 10, do the following.
- Open PowerShell as an administrator.
- Type or paste the following command:
- Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.YourPhone* -AllUser | Remove-AppxPackage
- Press the Enter key. The application is deleted.
This command completely uninstalls the application from your Windows 10 system, as well as the corresponding background process – YourPhone.exe. After deleting the application, the YourPhone.exe process no longer appears in the task manager the next time you restart it.
With PowerShell, you can delete other applications provided with the operating system. These include Calendar and Mail, Calculator, Facebook, and more.
