What you need to know about Windows 10 November Update

Microsoft released a few days ago the first major update of Windows 10 entitled Windows 10 November Update. Some of these included minor additional features and enhancements that were programmed to be downloaded and installed automatically when available.

Interested users can now check for updates via the configuration window, i.e. Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. There are things you want to know about the update.

  • Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
  • Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.


Download files are large, about 3 GB. Users with a measured Internet connection should connect to an unmeasured network to avoid additional costs.

Once the update is installed and you connect, you will be greeted by screens that indicate that your PC has completed the installation. These screens will look like the ones you saw when you first installed Windows 10.

Once the installation is complete, you will see your PC with Windows 10 version 1511. To check which version is running on your PC, click the Start button and select Settings > System > About.

It is important to note here that if there are less than 31 days since the upgrade to Windows 10, you will not receive the November update immediately. Only if you have exceeded the 31-day period does your PC have the right to download the November update. Your settings are not changed and remain unchanged.

If Suspend Upgrades is enabled, you may not receive the update immediately. To ensure that the settings are disabled, select the Start button, select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Advanced Options and clear the Move Upgrades check box.

This update is not available for PCs or Windows 10 Enterprise connected to the domain.

Please note that you cannot reinstall the November update from Windows Update if you accidentally or intentionally uninstall it from your PC. To upgrade your PC to Windows 10 version 1511, which includes the November update, you must select’Update Now’ on the Microsoft software download site.

If you notice that you don’t see the update, don’t worry, it will be available soon ! Updates other than the November update installed on your PC are not displayed in the update history.

In previous versions of Windows, you had to rely on third-party applications to trust the location of your laptop and track it if you lost or misplaced it. Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft decided to change the policy and add features to find your device directly in Windows 10.
