Microsoft finally lost its long-awaited Windows 10 S at an event in New York. Windows 10 S is Microsoft’s answer to ChromeOS – and it’s a light operating system for the education sector.

Microsoft had already tried to cook in Windows 10 with the low-budget laptop, and this did not go well. Windows 10 as an operating system works well on medium-sized laptops or high-end laptops. However, Microsoft finally decided to push the boundaries of Windows 10, and that’s why Windows 10 S was designed. Almost all developers prepare their applications for the Windows ecosystem, and we have been loading applications on the Windows side for nearly two decades. We have no choice when it comes to running.exe files on our Windows system. However, since Windows 10 S runs in the sandbox environment, all this is not possible. You must go to the Windows store to install any application, and if your favorite application is not in the Windows store, there is nothing you can do.

However, we are confident that third parties will soon port their applications to the universal Windows application and make them available on the Windows store. Microsoft has not only increased system security, but has also ensured that unwanted programs cannot be installed.

Windows 10 S supports all hardware

Before answering this question, let’s clarify one thing: It seems that Microsoft does not allow users to install Windows 10 S on any laptop and instead, it inevitably has to be associated with OEMs. At the event, Microsoft announced that they have tied with seven major OEMs and the starting price for the Windows 10 S laptop will be as low as $189.

Now, other devices like printers should work well, but if you are looking to install advanced tools for printer management, which may not yet be possible. Moreover, we still do not know how Microsoft will manage the pilot part.

Can join Windows 10 S to a domain

Yes, you can join via the Azure Active directory. This means that Windows 10 S comes with some administration tools that help the administrator install the operating system on multiple PCs in no time using a pen drive. In short, the application is very simple and uncomplicated. Updates can also be managed via Windows Update for Enterprise.

Can Windows 10 S be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro?
