Windows 8 must still be released, as well as Windows 8 tablets. But the excitement of experiencing Windows 8 on a tablet (touch screen) is every technology enthusiast’s dream. To make this dream come true, we explain in our simple tutorial how to enjoy Windows 8 on an Android or iPad tablet. Android and iPad tabs are the main tablets on the market, that’s why we offer a tutorial on these platforms. To do this, we use an application called Splashtop Streamer.
Things you need:
- A Windows PC 8
- An Android or iPad tablet
- An Internet connection
- Splashtop Streamer app.
Step 1 : Download Splashtop Streamer from your Windows PC. You can click here to download Splashtop Streamer for your Windows PC. Start the downloaded file and install the streamer, the installation will guide you through the installation. Create a new account with Splashtop and login to Splashtop with your new account.
Step 2 : It is now time to configure Splashtop on your Tablet PC. In this tutorial, I will use an Android tablet to perform other steps, but the same steps can also be performed on Apple iPad. When the download is complete, you can install and run the application.
Step 3: When you first run the application on your tablet, you will be asked for the splashtop account, use the same credentials you used to create an account on your Windows PC. When you log into your account, you can see the list of devices on your tablet screen. Tap the adjacent control button with the name of your PX and you will be able to successfully view your PC screen.
This screen allows you to enjoy your PC with the touch surface. Splashtop supports almost all Windows 8 touch gestures. There are many advantages to this application, for example, if you are a developer and you want to test some of your Metro applications on a touch interface, you don’t have to spend money on the new Windows 8 hardware – you can use any Android or iPad tab to do it.
