This issue can occur when a Microsoft account is hacked. If you believe your Microsoft account has been hacked, we recommend that you reset your password immediately. To change your Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail) password, sign in with your Microsoft account and go to the Password & Security section.
In the Windows Settings pop-up window, click Accounts. Then click Sign-in options > Windows Hello PIN > I forgot my PIN. Enter the Microsoft password and then the new PIN twice to complete the change.
Microsoft recommends that users set a separate password for their device, unless they log in with their Microsoft account. If we use Windows Hello for Business to configure the PIN or biometric identification of multiple devices, changing the account password on one device does not affect the PIN or biometric identification of other devices because they use a key or certificate. However, if we do not use Windows Hello for Business, we must change the password on each device. In such a situation, we would receive the following error:
Your password has changed on another device. You must log in to this device once with your new password and you can then log in with your PIN(2)
Understand the problem
Suppose we have configured a PIN on our primary device and created a password (or we have used an existing password). By changing the password on the same device, the PIN would work as usual because it has been configured on the machine itself so that it can detect the password change. The password is now server specific, not device specific, so it changes on all associated systems. The PIN of other systems is linked to this password, but you cannot see the change because the change was made on the server for those systems. In such a situation, the PIN connection would fail on these systems.

- When you receive the error, click OK, then click Connection Options.
- Click the Password option, then log in with the new password. The system saves the new password that has already been changed on the server. At the same time, the PIN would also recognize the changed password.
- This time you can connect with the PIN code. The same applies to biometric identification.
