The recycle bin in the Windows operating system behaves as a special directory in which deleted files can be cached before being completely deleted. This ensures that the user can continue to browse and recover deleted files if they are accidentally deleted. A user can then manually delete the recycle bin using the’Empty recycle bin’ function if desired.
When you delete a file with Empty Recycle Bin, Windows 10/8 deletes the file index and prevents the operating system from accessing the file contents. However, you can restore the contents of the file until it is overwritten by another file, which may not be the case. EFS encrypted files also leave the unencrypted contents of the file on the hard disk. You can recover deleted files several times. To delete them permanently, delete them or destroy them, you can use one of these free tools.
