This is a Windows Store application that you must download and have on your Windows 8 computer. Disk Falcon is a Windows 8 application developed by a game studio. Now, can you imagine what would happen if a game studio developed an application with its game engine? You’ll have a futuristic look, superb real-time animations and science-fiction inspired voice responses to your actions, all integrated into the application.
After installing the application, click the start screen to open it. To start the scan, click Scan Location to select a drive or folder to scan.
I decided to scan my C drive. Although the sweeping seemed a bit slow, the animation was a pleasure. When scanning is complete, the results are displayed as a pie chart. The results of the analysis can be broken down by individual file, file type or age.
Double-click any segment to look deeper. Right-click on any folder and see what happens. You can see the distribution up to the last file.
You can also display the results as a histogram or type diagram.
