Although Windows also updates the drivers, you may need to update the drivers manually. Click the Device Manager in the Windows 10 WinX menu and right-click the NVIDIA driver. Select Update driver. Windows checks if driver updates are available, and if they are, it downloads and installs.
If you want to download NVIDIA drivers directly from the manufacturer, which is always a good idea, go to this page and download the driver from Additional software and drivers. Using NVIDIA Smart Scan
People at NVIDIA seem to understand the pain of manually updating drivers and therefore offer Smart Scan. Needless to say, this online tool automatically scans and downloads drivers from NVIDIA directories. In addition, the program informs users as soon as a new driver update is available. If you experience driver update issues, you can still submit your request in the NVIDIA Community Forum. However, JAVA must be installed.
Also make sure you have administrative rights when installing updates and disable the firewall if necessary. Please note that drivers must always be downloaded and installed from official sources.
