Several Windows users asked us questions after receiving error “0x80070141: The Device is unreachable” when you try to perform certain actions. In most cases, the error code is reported when the user attempts to open, copy or move a JPEG file from a camera storage device to a computer.
What is the error code 0x80070141?
System error 0x80070141 usually occurs when you try to copy files from your smartphone to your PC. Among the most affected devices are the iPhones 6/7/8/X/XS and XR. But remember that this error does not only apply to iPhones. Some Android smartphones like Samsung Galaxy or Lenovo are no strangers to this bug. In some cases, they may not transfer the files to the PC, which will prompt your computer to display this message: “The device is unavailable.
Although the error code 0x80070141 may also occur if there are damaged or incorrectly installed device drivers. Other common causes are viral infections and poorly installed applications.

b. Type Hardware and devices in the search box, press or click Settings, then press Search and solve problems with devices, you may be asked for an administrator password or you will need to confirm your choice.
Also refer to the information provided with your device for troubleshooting tips. You can also check the support pages on the manufacturer’s website for information and new drivers.
Using the USB 2.0 port
If you connect your iPhone to your PC via the USB 3.0 port, switch to the USB 2.0 port. Some users have found that the iPhone “the device is inaccessible” has disappeared when using the USB 2.0 port. In fact, when troubleshooting the iPhone driver (Apple Mobile Device USB Driver) in the Device Manager, these users received the report saying, “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is an older device and may not work with USB 3.0, connect the device to a free USB 2.0 port.” In fact, they found that the device is “out of range” when you use the USB 2.0 port. The iPhone is probably not available because the driver does not work with USB 3.0.
Trust this computer
Do not ignore the notification that appears on your iPhone and asks you if you want to allow the computer to access the photos of the videos on your iPhone after connecting your iPhone to the PC. When the message appears, click Allow, which is the first step to allow photo uploading. Also try this simple solution if you encounter the message The device is inaccessible.
Update iTunes to the latest version
If you try to copy something from an Apple device (iTunes, iPad, iPod) to a Windows computer, it is possible that the problem is due to a very outdated version of iTunes. Several affected users reported that they fixed the problem after updating iTunes with the latest version available.
To update iTunes, open the application on your computer and click the Help button at the top of the ribbon, then click Check for Updates.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update, then restart your computer to see if you can copy files that have previously failed.
The error code 0x80070141 is not a serious problem, but you should not ignore this error when you first see it. If this problem remains unattended, it can lead to more serious computer problems that can affect your computer’s speed and affect your system’s security.
