The recent publication of the Call to Duty (Modern Warfare) is surrounded by much controversy. Turn Down Game Settings

Rebooting the router and the computer

Before starting troubleshooting with any of the other fixes listed below, simply restart the PC in conjunction with a restart of the router. If the problem is caused by a network inconsistency, this process will clear the DNS and delete any temporary data that may be causing the problem.
To perform a router restart + power cycle, press the power switch on the rear panel once (to turn it off) and wait 30 seconds or more before pressing the switch again to turn it back on. Alternatively, you can simply unplug the power cord from your wall outlet.
After rebooting your router/modem and PC, restart the game and see if the problem is now solved.
