The current version of Windows 10 v1803 now offers a built-in tool that helps you delete additional files that can be deleted from your computer to make room. That’s what they call it, Free Up Space. The tool uses the Storage Sense feature in Windows 10, which can automate the cleaning of unwanted system files every 60, 30, 15 or every day. You can configure it to run automatically or at predefined intervals.

You can now prevent PC problems by using this tool, such as protecting you against file loss and malware. Additionally it is a great way to optimize your computer for maximum performance. The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:
- Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista – Microsoft Gold Certified).
- Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
In the WinX menu, open Settings > System > Save.
This list lists all local and connected storage devices with information about free storage space.
Make sure the Storage Sense function is enabled.
Next, look for a link called Free Up Space. Click to open.
The following screen is the built-in Windows 10 program that searches for the following unnecessary files and helps you free up space:
- Temporary Internet files.
- Delivery optimization files.
- DirectX Shader Cache
- Image preview
- Previous Windows installation files.
- Windows upgrade log files.
- The system has created Windows error report files.
Select the files you want to delete and click Remove Files. You will have an idea of the total size at the time of your choice.
Note that each of these folders contains details so that you can understand if you want to delete it. For example, the DirectX shader cache is useful to speed up application load times and improve responsiveness.
It is interesting to note that if you only want to clean the previous version of the files, Storage Sense provides directly under the Free Up Space section. If you are in Storage Sense, scroll down to find the Free up Space now section. You can check the Clear previous versions of Windows box and click the button to run them.
Note however that you cannot return to the previous version of Windows after deleting the file. They are stored by default for 10 days, then automatically deleted.
This means that you should know a number of things. Browsers and applications cache many files. This makes the experience better because you don’t need to re-download things you’ve already seen. This makes the experience faster. If you remove files, everything must be downloaded again. So I suggest you only do this if you really need space on your computer.
