Many users report problems with the installation of Notefolio and NoteFolio Creator in recent versions of Windows. While there are virtually no problems with older versions of Windows, applications seem to have compatibility issues with Windows 8 and Windows 10.
In most cases, users complain about getting an error in the .NET Framework during installation.
Is the problem with the installation of Texas Instruments Notefolio Creator?
.NET Framework 1.1 is not supported on Windows 8. In some cases, the .NET Framework 1.1 is specifically listed as required to run the application. In these cases, you must contact your independent software vendor (ISV) to update the application to run on .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or later.
However, some applications (e.g. Notefolio from Texas Instruments) specifically ask about the old .NET Framework 1.1 platform as they have not been updated for some time. This leads to compatibility problems.

Most applications (and other programs such as games or service programs) developed for previous versions of Windows will run on the latest version of Windows 10, but some older programs may or may not work at all. Here are a few ways to fix common problems with older programs.

Make your old programs compatible with this version of Windows
- To check the version and build of Windows you are using, type winver in the search box in the taskbar and press Enter.

First, try running the Compatibility Troubleshooting Tool:
- In the search box on the taskbar, enter the name of the program or application you want to fix.
- Select and hold (or right-click it), then select “Open file location”.
- Select and hold (or right-click) the program file, select Properties, and then select the Compatibility tab.
- Select Run Compatibility Troubleshooting.
If this does not work, you can try configuring the “Compatibility” tab.
Remove TI NoteFolio Creator using System Restore
System Restore is a utility included in Windows operating systems that helps computer users restore the system to its previous state and remove programs that affect the operation of the computer. If you created a System Restore Point before installing the program, you can use System Restore to restore your system and completely remove unwanted programs such as TI NoteFolio Creator. Before you restore your system, you should back up your personal files and data.
а. Close all open files and programs.
б. Right-click “Computer” on your desktop and select “Properties”. The system window will be displayed.
vs. On the left side of the system window, click System Security. The “System Properties” window will be opened.
e. Click System Restore. The System Restore window will open.
е. Select Select a different recovery point and click Next.
F. Select a date and time from the list, then click Next. You should be aware that any programs and drivers installed after the selected date and time may not work correctly and you may need to reinstall them.
G. Click Done when the Confirm recovery point window appears.
H. Click Yes to confirm again.
