If you are faced with the problem that your Windows 10 laptop shuts down when you disconnect it, even with a new battery, then this article may be useful to you. The most obvious reason a laptop turns off immediately after you disconnect it is that the battery may have deteriorated. But this is not always the case, especially with newer laptops.

In rare cases, laptop batteries will simply not work as usual. This can occur if there is a short circuit in the internal components of the battery. 3. Press and hold the power switch for at least 30 seconds. This will unload the capacitors from the motherboard and reset the memory chips that were still active.
4. Reinsert the battery, connect it and charge the device.

Checking power management Settings

1. When you switch to the display properties, select the Screensaver tab, then click the Power button,

• Check the output voltage of the power supply and/or replace it with a power supply of known quality. You may simply have an empty battery and a defective power supply.
• Check the status of the DC plug. It may be damaged in a way that prevents the battery from charging.

If both are good, the problem is on the Motherboard of the device.
