Wow64.dll is considered a kind of Win32 emulation on an NT64 file. It is most often used in the Windows operating system developed by Microsoft. It uses the DLL file extension and is considered a Win64 (Dynamic Link Library) DLL file.

Unfortunately, what makes DLL files so convenient and efficient also makes them extremely prone to problems. If something happens to a shared DLL file, whether it disappears or is corrupted in some way, it can generate a “runtime” error message. Runtime is fairly self-explanatory; this means that these errors are triggered when attempting to load wow64.dll, either at startup of Microsoft Office Access 2010 or, in some cases, already running.
