If your Windows File Explorer no longer works and you see an error when trying to open it – it has tried to point to a token that doesn’t exist, then this message may help you. Open a command prompt (“Search CMD”) (right mouse button and run as administrator) and navigate to
c:\Windows\System32
Re-record the required DLL files with the following command:
For /F %s in (‘dir /b *.dll’) do regsvr32 /s %s
Note: Copying and pasting may not work with the above command. You may need to’convert’ this to apostrophe because the formatting of the web page requires it.
