- The tool will then repair your computer.
If your Internet works on a WiFi router but not on an Ethernet modem, or if your Internet works with Ethernet but not wireless, this patch will help you run the Internet on your Windows 10/8/7 PC in both cases.
When you connect to the Internet via a network adapter, it is synchronized with a MAC address or physical address. Whether you use a direct Ethernet connection or a Wi-Fi router, a MAC address is always available on your system. If you switch from Wi-Fi router to Direct Ethernet router or Ethernet to Wi-Fi router, the MAC address must be changed. If, for some reason, this does not happen automatically, you will be faced with this Internet connection problem.
If you are using a ping service, there is a high probability that you will see one of these two messages – request timeout or destination host unavailable.

December 2023 Update:
You can now prevent PC problems by using this tool, such as protecting you against file loss and malware. Additionally it is a great way to optimize your computer for maximum performance. The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:
- Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista – Microsoft Gold Certified).
- Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
You can only use the direct Ethernet connection or the Wi-Fi router. However, sometimes you need to change the type of connection. In such a case, you must do the following to solve the problem.
- First, find the MAC address that is currently synchronized with your IP address.
- Second, you must replace the current MAC address of your PC with the MAC address found in step 1.
To know the currently synchronized MAC address, you can use a tool called Advanced IP Scanner. This IP scanner scans the entire system and shows you the MAC address almost immediately. Make sure you are connected to the same Internet connection (no valid connection is required) when using this tool.
Enter the IP address that your ISP registered with you and press Enter.
If you can’t remember your IP address, there are two ways to find out.
-
-
- First press Win + R > type ncpa.cpl > press Enter > right click Ethernet > select Properties > double-click Internet Protocol Version 4. You should see the IP address on your screen.
- Then press Win + R > write cmd and press Enter > type ipconfig command. You see IP as IPv4.
-
After entering the IP address in the advanced IP scanning tool, you should receive the computer name, manufacturer and MAC address.
Copy this address and change your MAC address. You can also use a free MAC address changer.
Once you have done this, you can connect to the Internet.
Please note that this is a temporary solution that you, as a customer, cannot permanently resolve. This LAN switching problem can only be permanently solved by your Internet service provider.
