Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 The boot screen is designed to provide users with real-time updates on its tiles. Set the data usage limit for Live Tiles
1 Go to Home screen and press Windows + I to open Settings. Click Tiles.
2 In section Tiles, you can select your own limit from Data used for tile updates, after which the active tiles no longer need to be updated. If you have an unlimited data plan, the Unlimited option is perfect for you.
Restart the machine to take advantage of the changes. After the restart, the living tiles will continue to be updated according to the limit you have set.
