Many people have become aware of the existence of NVIDIA Virtual Audio. Is it secure or should it be uninstalled for security reasons? NVIDIA Virtual Audio is a software component used by NVIDIA itself when your system is connected or used with its SHIELD module or any other output component with speakers. It is used to transmit sound via the HDMI port of your graphics card.

NVIDIA Virtual Audio does not always cause audio problems your computer, depending on how you use it. If you do not need to connect your computer via the video card, you can leave it alone or uninstall it. Virtual audio is mainly used with NVIDIA SHIELD TV, a streaming box from the NVIDIA family with Android TV OS, Chromecast and Google Assistant.

For some people, however, they would opt for uninstallation to avoid possible problems that could cause an error. Once Windows system files have been damaged by incomplete installation, incorrect deletion of applications or hardware, they can be dangerous to your computer. If the Windows system files are damaged, the entries will be corrupted or deleted. There will be incorrect information or missing files. This prevents the process from working properly.
