Microsoft brings several features and capabilities to Windows 10 and makes PC authentication easier than ever. You can use a password, PIN and password to connect to your computer. From the Windows login screen, you can easily switch between these login and logon options.
In addition to the traditional password-based login, Windows 10 also includes a PIN code and a photo password for user security. You can use a Microsoft email account or a local account to access your computer. However, some design conflicts may not allow you to connect to your system using an image PIN or password. For example, if you are in safe mode, none of these alternatives will work and you will need a traditional password.
This article provides an overview of the Windows 10 login process.
Windows 10 Connection Options
Open the Start menu and click Settings. Select ‘Accounts’. Then select ‘Connection Options’. To create a new P and click the Change button under ‘Password’.
Then enter ‘Current password’ and click Next.
In a new window that opens, enter a new password, enter the new password, enter a hint for the hint and click Next.
Finally, click ‘Finish’ to finish changing the user password. The next time you log in, you will need to use your new password.
Change the image password under Windows 10
Using an image password, you can use an image from your library as a password. You must make three gestures on the screen that you want to use as password. For example, you can select a part of the image, draw it and resize it.
In the Windows 10 Preferences application, under the Image Password section, click Add as shown in the figure below.
Then enter your user password and click OK to confirm your account information.
Then select’Use this image’ to continue.
Draw three new gestures on the image. Repeat the step and click ‘Finish’ to complete the process.
Changing the PIN code under Windows 10
If configuring an image password seems too complicated to you, but you still want to change the connection method, Microsoft Windows has a solution in the form of a PIN code for you.
Select the’Edit’ button in the’Pin’ section under Settings > Accounts > Login Options.
Enter a password and click OK. Then enter a new 6-digit PIN and select Finish.
You can also make users connect with a complex PIN by enabling the PIN Complexity Group Policy.
