The Speed Dial tab is the equivalent of the New Opera tab page in Google Chrome. You can add shortcuts to all your favorite websites, but the speed dial numbers don’t include page thumbnails. Instead, they have logos and website titles. You can customize the speed dial page using browser options and extensions.
The weather forecast widget is now available by default to all users. Some users may not like the new weather widget. They may not be interested in the new widget and may wish to disable or remove the weather forecast widget from the Opera speed dial page.

- Now scroll down the settings page and click on the “Advanced” link. This will bring up the advanced settings options.
- Scroll down again and you will see the “Home” section. Now look for the “Show weather widget” option.
Shift the Shift key to OFF to remove the weather forecast widget from the speed dial page. This will immediately remove the widget from the speed dial page.

- Install the browser.
- Open a new tab. You should see the default weather forecast widget.
- Open the settings (Alt + P) and find “Home” on the right side.
- Here you can customize the widget or remove it from the home page.
- Open Opera 69 Developer.
- Copy the URI flag and paste it into the address bar This: opera://flags/#weather-on-start page.
- Activate the flag to get the widget and restart the browser.
- Otherwise, set the flag to Disabled and restart the browser.
Speed dial suggestions do not appear immediately after installing Opera, but may be generated based on your browsing history.
