However, if you open Settings > Applications, you will notice that the uninstall option is grayed out. We do not recommend that you delete the built-in UWP application if you insist on deleting it, but here is a quick guide to help you delete the Photos application from Windows 10.

The new Photos application is not only an image viewer, but also provides basic tools for editing and optimizing images. It allows you to add various effects and filters to your photos. Step 3 – Locate the line beginning with PackageFullName and copy the full name (“Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2018.18081.14710.0_x64__8wekyb3d8d8d8bbwe” in my case).

Step 4 – Type the following command and press Enter. A message “Deployment progress…” appears temporarily and, if it disappears, the uninstallation is complete. The changes will take effect immediately and you will notice that the Windows 10 Photos application has disappeared.

CONCLUSION

It must be said that we do not really recommend uninstalling integrated universal applications. These applications take up very little space on your device, so it is best to ignore them if you do not want to use them.

Again, the only real advantage is that you can easily purge your Start menu. It is also likely that future updates (especially larger updates) may reinstall these applications.
