Whenever you encounter printing problems on a network printer, you must first check whether the port assigned to the printer on the computer uses the same IP address as the one assigned to the printer by your router (assuming that the “network printer” is actually connected to a router and not just a shared resource connected to a computer on the network).

To check:

1. Right-click the printer icon in Devices and Printers and select Printer Properties.

3. If the printer is connected to the router, the verified port looks like this (i.e. it must be a “standard TCP/IP port” or possibly an HP TCP/IP port with an IP address). You may need to expand the Port column as shown below to see the full IP address:

If the printer is assigned an IP address different (by your router’s DHCP server) from the one configured on the computer, the printing task will be unnecessary. The cumulative update of Windows 10 KB4507453 published by Microsoft on July 9 would have caused a restart notification loop on some of the computers on which it was installed.

This problem was reported by Windows users on several websites and computer support forums across the Web, all describing exactly the same problem – they were asked to restart their devices to complete the installation of the KB4507453 update even if it was already installed.

While several users of Windows 10 version 1903 and Windows Server version 1903 would have already been affected by this problem, Microsoft has not yet publicly confirmed the problem with the restart notification loop. read more

The exchange file stores the virtual memory used by the operating system when the physical memory (RAM) is insufficient to meet all running applications and system requirements. Windows 10 creates a special pagefile.sys file in the root directory of your system drive, like all previous versions of the operating system. You can delete the pagefile file when closing to increase security.

Deleting the stopped exchange file can be important if the PC is used by someone else. It is possible that the exchange file may contain sensitive data after the operating system has shut down. If you have a dual boot system or someone with physical access to your computer, data can be retrieved from this file. When Windows 10 is running, it has exclusive access rights to this file so that none of the applications can read it. However, if your entire partition is not encrypted with Windows BitLocker or similar technology, nothing protects this file if the partition of the installed operating system is accessible by booting another system. You can create system restore points every time you start Windows 10. In Windows 10, system recovery is a function that works like a time machine that takes your computer back to an earlier date to cancel system changes with a recovery point. This function is particularly useful for solving a number of problems if your device does not work properly without affecting your files.

Usually, new recovery points are created automatically before a significant event occurs, for example when you install a new application, driver or software update, and you can even trigger them manually.
