After installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, or after installing programs on a computer that is already running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, some programs may not work as expected.
This is because Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 include security, reliability and new features for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Some programs may lose functionality after installing SP1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
However, most programs continue to work as expected.
KB2492938 lists programs that have been installed on a computer running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and have detected a loss of functionality.
