1] Restart and try

Restart your Windows computer and try to perform the desired operation on the file.

2] Perform a clean boot

Start your computer in the clean boot state, then try to resolve the problem manually. You must find the process offensive manually. Clean boot debugging is designed to isolate a performance problem.

3] Start the folder in a new window

1 If you have this problem, simply press the combination Windows + E on the keyboard. This starts File Explorer, on the ribbon click View View. Then click Options -> Change folders and search options.

2 In open windows Folder options scroll down and find the option Folder window in a separate process under Advanced settings. Since you are facing this problem, you will find this option enabled, so disable it.

Click Apply followed by OK. You can now close all instances of File Explorer via Task Manager or restart the computer if the setting is not applied immediately.

If the above method does not help, try removing the preview window and see if it helps. Many thanks to our BB reader for that.
