Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 The boot screen is designed to provide users with real-time updates on its tiles. The application’s tiles play animations when configured to play and provide you with notifications about text, images or a combination of both. To avoid unnecessary use of data when integrating these tile updates, Microsoft has set a limit beyond which live tiles will no longer be updated. After this limit, you may have new content when opening the application, but the corresponding application will not provide you with new updates.

By default, the limit beyond which Live Tiles no longer provide real-time updates is 50 MB. This limit is justified in the case of Counter connections. But if you are addicted to live tile updates, you have configured a WiFi network as a measured connection, and if you have paid for an unlimited data plan, you may want to bypass this limit. Here, in this article, we will tell you how you can set this limit to the desired amount of data.
Set the data usage limit for Live Tiles
1 Go to Home screen and press Windows + I to open Settings. Click Tiles.
2 In section Tiles, you can select your own limit from Data used for tile updates, after which the active tiles no longer need to be updated. If you have an unlimited data plan, the Unlimited option is perfect for you.
Restart the machine to take advantage of the changes. After the restart, the living tiles will continue to be updated according to the limit you have set.
