To resize the taskbar thumbnail in Windows 7

If you find that the thumbnail size in the Windows 7 taskbar is too small, you can enlarge it. You can resize it at your leisure by following the simple steps of this article and resizing the taskbar thumbnail. Of course, there are third party tools to do the same job, but doing it manually is always a great learning experience.

Resize thumbnails in Windows. Please note that this requires you to make changes in the Registry Editor, so make sure you have made a backup before continuing.

and press Enter. Then navigate to the next key

HKEY_CURRENT_USERoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer

and select Edit..

Select option Decimal. Enter the desired values in pixels to change the size. The default value is between 32 and 256.

To restore the default value, simply remove the thumbnail size name and restart your computer !
