Disable automatic image loading in Firefox
Not all of us are lucky enough to have a fast Internet connection anytime, anywhere and anytime. Thus, surfing in low bandwidth situations or a super slow connection like dial-up becomes a painful exercise. If the web pages you browse contain too many images, the situation could get worse. At times when you are only interested in reading the text, it is advisable to disable the automatic image loading option.
Firefox had this option for some time; with the introduction of Firefox 23 and other higher versions, this option was postponed. Previously, you could easily find it under the’Content’ tab of the options. Surfing without images on a super slow connection therefore required a one-step action – disabling the option’Automatically load images as images’ images‘. Well, the order of things has changed a little, but the option is still available. It’s just that to stop people who accidentally damage Firefox, it was moved. The action that Firefox developers claim is intended to help the majority of users.
