Microsoft has integrated web search from Windows 8.1, in addition to native search available in previous Windows editions. So, if you search for something on your Windows computer when you are connected to the Internet, the search results will automatically appear. Now some users may agree that web results are displayed in addition, even if they are not looking forward to them. However, another user community may not be convinced. 2 In the left pane of the window , navigate to the local Group Policy Editor here :
Computer configuration -> Administrative templates -> Windows components -> Search
3. Continue, in the right part of the window shown above and scroll down to Named Settings Do not allow searching on the Web and No searching on the Web or displaying search results on the Web in Search. Both are default Not configured. Double-click one of them:
4 Finally, in the window above, select Enabled and click Apply followed by OK. Activate the other setting in the same way. Close Local Group Policy Editor now. Restart the computer to make the changes effective. After restarting the machine, the Web search results are no longer displayed. If you want to receive search results on the web later, simply reset both policies to the state Not configured .
