Google Duo is a mobile video chat application produced by Google. It is a free service available for Android and iOS devices. • You can disable access to contacts in your Google Account. If you remove your Google Account from Google Duo, you can disable Duo’s access to the contacts in your Google Account. Duo is pre-installed on all Android devices and is automatically linked to your Google Account. If you’re using an Apple device, visit the App Store, search for Duo and download it. Enter your Google information when prompted and sign in.

When you use Duo on a mobile device or tablet, the application asks for permission to synchronize with your contacts. Then select a person you want to call from your contact list.
