The most popular PDF reader application for Windows users is now available on all new Crisp and Metro platforms. The new Adobe Reader App for Windows 8 is available for download from the Windows store. The built-in Windows 8 reader is a good PDF reader, but it’s more than that!

When you start the application, you will see that the main screen is divided into two columns. The left column shows some basic and essential options and the right column shows the most recently viewed articles. You can open a PDF file by simply clicking the Open File button and a new dialog box in the Open File metrostyle style will open – and you can select the desired file there.

Once the file is opened and you have viewed it, you can simply close the application and the next time you open the same file, it will be loaded from the same location where you left it. This was the most interesting feature of the software.

The file is always open in the best overview and two different display modes are available – One page and Continuous. Built-in search functions are available to facilitate navigation through your file. Bookmarks can also be viewed and easily navigated with this PDF reader.

Adobe Reader integrates well with Internet Explorer 10, allowing you to open a PDF file directly while browsing the Internet. If you use this application on a touch device, there is another positive point for you! This application supports all important tactile gestures.

The application facilitates file navigation. Simply click in your document or scroll down to see the thumbnail, under Thumbnails you can quickly select the page you want to see on your screen.

If you want to use Adobe Reader as the default application for your Windows, right-click a PDF file, choose Open with > Select Default Program > Select Adobe Reader, and select Use this application for all.pdf files.

You can also set program preferences via Control Panel > Standard Programs.
