Grant permission to DCOM

1. Click Start -> Run -> Type -> dcomcnfg, expand Component Services -> Computer -> My Computer -> DCOM Configuration.
2. Click on View -> Detail -> You now get the application name and application ID on the right side.
3. Scroll down and find the application ID {AD65A69D-3831-40D7-9629-9B0B0B0B50A93843}. -> Right-click -> Properties and select the Security tab.
4. Under “Launch & Activation Permission”, click on Customize -> click on Edit -> Add in the account NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and define local start and activation.
5. Restart the application service associated with this application ID or restart the server and monitor.

1. Open Regedit with administrator privileges and navigate to the above keys (remember you must do it twice).
2. WinKey + X >> Admin Prompt >> Regedit Input
3. Right-click on the button >> Permissions
4. Click on Advanced
5. At the top of the screen, change the owner to COMPUTERNAME\Administrators.
6. Please note that if you are an accessed domain, you must change the location of your search on your local computer.
7. Search in the Authorization entries field.
8. If the group of local system administrators is listed, make sure they have full control.
9. If the Administrators group is not listed, add it and give it full control. (Note that you can only do this if you are a member of the Administrators group and they now own it).
10. Click OK >> Make sure you apply permissions to all child objects.
