The error “A graphic device could not be created” usually occurs when the computer does not find the graphic device on your computer. Depending on the error message, this usually occurs if you have more than one graphic hardware (integrated and external) in your system.
Failed to create a graphics device
As indicated in the error message, there is a problem with the configuration of your video card or with the graphics programs.
This error is also displayed as “Graphic device could not be created” or “Graphic device could not be created”.
Reinstall the graphics card driver.
The best course of action for you should be to visit the website of your manufacturer, such as NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. Go to the Pilots section. And download the latest drivers from there. Once the download is complete, simply install the video driver and restart your computer.
There is another way. You can use the Display Driver Uninstaller to remove AMD, INTEL, NVIDIA drivers, and then use NVIDIA Smart Scan, AMD Driver Autodetect or Intel Driver Update Utility to download and install or update the appropriate drivers.
Power Cycling your Computer
In the event of a power failure, the computer is turned off and the electrical connection is interrupted. This forces the computer to shut down completely and load new configurations from the files when it restarts. Power Cycling helps the graphic settings to reset and solve our problem for us.
The risk of power failure is different for laptops and PCs. For laptops, you must first turn them off, then remove the battery. You may need to push the lever before unlocking the battery compartment. When the battery is empty, press the power switch for about one minute. Wait a while before plugging everything back in.
