If you have a list of folders such as This PC, Documents, Music or others that you access regularly and that you open almost always when you start your computers, you can configure them to open each time you start your Windows PC. It only takes a few steps to get the job done, but when you’re ready, continue and follow this short tutorial to restore previous folder windows when connecting.
Restore previous folder windows when connecting
Enter folder options in Start search and press Enter. In the View tab, in the Advanced Settings area, search Restore previous folder windows to logon.
Activate these options and simply click on the’Apply’ button then on’OK’.
If you disconnect, restart or close the session, Windows will automatically open previously opened folders.
Windows’ ability to automatically restore Windows folders opened at startup is very convenient for everyday computer users like me, who are used to opening many folders and tabs each time they start their computer.
However, if you also want to reopen the application windows after restarting, you must use a tool called Cache My Work.
Read this message if Windows does not restore the previous folder windows correctly when you connect.
