If you are still one of those who prefer the All programs in the Windows XP Start menu, where All programs are displayed with a scroll bar instead of the Vista principle where the All programs appeared in the Start menu itself, you may be interested.
Although you can still switch to the classic start menu via the taskbar and start menu properties, you do not get the Vista look.
Show all programs from the Windows 7 Start menu
First, disable the Images & Music folder. To do this, right-click on the’Start’ menu and select the ‘Properties’ option.
Then click on the’Customize’ tab that appears below the taskbar and in the’Start Menu Properties’ window.
Then, enable the’Do not display this item(s)’ option under the’Customize Start Menu’ screen.
Then download one of the following vbs scripts for Kellys-Korner XP. These scripts are for XP, but can also be used for Vista you must decide which folder, Images folder or Music folder you use less. Consequently, you must download and use the script to replace this folder.
Download a Kelly’s Korner script and follow the procedure described in this post to view your favorite folders from the Windows 7 Start menu. But enter the following path in the appropriate field.
Click OK. Restart.
Now click Start menu > Right Click > Properties > Start Menu > Customize > Show this item(s) as MENU > Apply > OK.
Your Windows 7 or Windows Vista Start Menu displays the Start Menu Vista All Programs, XP Style … sort of !
