After a month of testing by Windows 10 Fast Ring insiders, Sticky Notes 3.7 will be officially distributed to all users using the Windows 10 April 2018 or later update.
Perhaps the most important feature of version 3.7 is ink analysis – a feature that allows the software to recognize text in handwritten notes. This feature was previously unavailable due to unexpected errors, but now that the problems have been fixed, it is available to users again. Insights has also received corrections and other improvements, including reminders of ideas during sessions and absences.
Speaking of features, one of the most important is the return of Ink Analysis, which had some bugs and problems in previous versions. It seems that the time in Fast ring has solved the problems and now it’s good to go.
If you didn’t know it yet, Ink Analysis is a Sticky Notes feature that allows the tool to recognize the text of handwritten notes.

Microsoft yesterday released a new update of the Sticky Notes application for Fast Ring insiders. This update of Sticky Notes v3.7 provides ink analysis, improves the Insights function and much more. You will find below the complete log of the changes.
- The ink analysis is back! There was a serious bug that prevented you from getting information about ink and handwriting analysis, but we overwritten it.
- Insight is better than ever! We have made a number of bug fixes and improvements, including storing previews from one session to the next and even storing them when you leave the connection.
- The text selection has never been so colorful! We decided to kiss the rainbow – try it in dark mode for a particularly pleasant experience.
- Various bug fixes, accessibility fixes, performance improvements.

Thanks to troubleshooting and improvements, ink analysis is back and knowledge has improved. This helps you to better understand your notes. The ability to highlight text in different colors is also a welcome addition. Microsoft recommends trying this function in dark mode to make colors popular.
