How to Fix: Battery Drain Issue on Chromium Browsers

Microsoft has always claimed that the Edge is more user-friendly than a laptop battery than chrome. Today, the company has brought its experience in energy management at the Windows level through a patch to the Chromium project.

Last year, before Microsoft abandoned its own navigation engine and replaced it with chrome, Edge, which beats chrome, showed in a video streaming test on Surface Books with Windows 10.

Microsoft introduces an experimental feature in Chrome to improve battery life:

Microsoft engineers have identified the problem behind battery consumption as the excessive caching of data that Chromium browsers display when processing media. According to a Chromium Commit, “holding the hard disk during this process generally increases power consumption and can also prevent the integration of some less efficient modes into the operating system. As media consumption is a high consumption scenario, this additional energy consumption has a negative impact on the battery life.” Data caching means that the hard disk is active and therefore consumes a lot of energy. Any activity that does this will have a negative impact on the life of your battery. read more

What’s the Difference Between UPS and Inverter?

Inverters and inverters are both used to provide electrical energy and are therefore often confused. However, an inverter is a more sophisticated and functional device – in fact, an inverter uses an inverter as one of its internal components.

Simply put, an inverter is a device that receives energy from a direct current (DC) source, such as a battery or solar panel, and converts it into AC power. An inverter also performs power conversion, but adds functions such as instant response and energy storage. read more

How To: Add your Full Name to a Local Account in Windows 10

Under Windows, it is not possible to select a name for this folder. In addition, it is not possible to rename a user profile folder after its creation.

How To: Add Encrypted Files to Search Results Index

By default, Windows uses the index when searching for faster search results. The search index contains only the places you select. These locations can be filtered according to file types (extensions), file properties and the content of the files you want to index.

The index uses the Windows search service and runs as a Searchindexer.exe process in the background. The index is automatically recreated and updated if changes have been made to the included locations since the last index configuration to increase the accuracy of search results. By default, the indexing speed is reduced due to user activity. When the computer is inactive, the indexing speed returns to full speed to complete indexing faster. read more
