How to resolve the Netflix NW-4-7 error?
Restart your home network
- Turn off the TV and disconnect it from the power source.
- Turn off and unplug the modem and Wi-Fi router.
- Leave the devices in standby mode for one to two minutes.
- Connect the modem and wait until the LEDs stop flashing.
- Turn on the Smart TV and connect it to the network.
- Connect to Netflix and check for enhancements.
Perform a reboot
- Turn off the Smart TV, game console, or streaming devices like Roku TV.
- Unplug the TV for at least 1 minute.
- Unplug the HDMI cable if the TV is connected to a streaming device.
- Leave the devices idle for a few minutes.
- Reconnect the TV and connect HDMI devices if necessary.
- Turn on the TV and try Netflix again.
Updating the Netflix app
- Open the Google Play store.
- Find the Netflix app and open it.
- Click Update to download and install updates.
- Restart the app after installation and check for improvements.
Use Google DNS
- Press the Xbox button on your controller. A menu will open and you should select All Settings.
- Under Settings, select the Networks option and click the Advanced Settings option.
- Then in the Change Settings menu, enter the address 220.127.116.11 in the Primary IPv4 DNS field.
- For secondary DNS, use 18.104.22.168.
- You can use an IPv6 DNS address in the same way. To do this, use the following: Primary DNS – 22.214.171.124 and Secondary DNS – 126.96.36.199.
- Save these settings and restart your Xbox.
- In the PS4 main menu, go to Settings.
- Go to the Network menu and select Internet Connection Setup.
- Then select the type of Internet connection you’re currently using. If it is a wired connection, select LAN, if it is a wireless connection, select the WiFi option.
- From the menu, select the Custom option and set your IP address to Automatic.
- Under the DHCP hostname, select the Do Not Specify option.
- Then set the DNS settings to Manual and enter 188.8.131.52 in the Primary DNS field.
- Under Secondary DNS, use 184.108.40.206.
- The above settings are for IPv4. If you want to use IPv6 instead enter 220.127.116.11 as Primary DNS and 18.104.22.168 as Secondary DNS.
- Save these settings and restart the PS4.
