Microsoft Edge happens to be the default browser provided with the Windows 10 package.

But this is very much the way Windows 10 works, with the ability to let all applications run in the background at all times.

The connection between Linux and Windows is getting closer and closer. Now that Microsoft has supported Linux with the WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), it is doing what users have asked it to do: The Windows 10 April 2019 update allows access to Linux files from Windows.

Version 1903 of Windows 10 not only gives you the ability to open Linux files in the Explorer, but also the ability to edit Linux files on Windows.

One of the most surprising things about Windows 10 is that you can activate a Windows subsystem for Linux, install a Linux distribution like Ubuntu, and then run Linux commands in a Bash shell.

What is a Windows subsystem for Linux (WSL)?

The Windows for Linux Subsystem (WSL) is a new feature of Windows 10 that allows you to run native Linux command line tools directly on Windows in addition to your traditional Windows desktop applications and modern shop applications.

This feature has been available in one form or another since early 2016, but Microsoft is constantly working to improve the way Windows and Linux can be shared.

For example, you couldn’t start Windows applications from a Linux terminal at an early stage. Now you can. And although you have been able to access Windows files from a Linux terminal for some time now, it is not the opposite that happens. But it will be soon.

How to access Ubuntu files (Windows subsystem) from Windows 10

Although we show this tutorial for the Ubuntu subsystem, the process will be the same for other systems installed on the WSL, such as OpenSUSE, Kali, and others.

The address at which Windows 10 WSL stores the Linux environment file: %user profile%AppDataLocal packages

To access Linux WSL files on Windows 10, do the following.

Enable the WSL function.

Install Distro, for example Ubuntu, and start it.

If you are in a directory under Linux FS, type explorer.

This will open a File Explorer window located inside your Linux distribution.

This message may appear in the Network Connections folder when opening the properties of a network connection. The registry settings for the network connection may be corrupted.

Try re-registering the netshell.dll and ole32.dll files.

Firefox Containers allow you to classify your browsing activities and divide cookies and other browser memories. Essentially, they prevent websites from tracking your Internet browsing and prevent them from searching for and tracking you outside of their own Containers. Microsoft has published guidance to help users protect their systems from denial of service (DoS) and security breaches in the disclosure of information involving Intel processors, announced in a patch on Tuesday of this week.

The DoS vulnerability tracked under CVE-2018-12207 affects basic Intel client and server processors up to and including the 8th generation, while the speculative vulnerability tracked under CVE-2019-11135, found in the ability of Intel’s Transactional Synchronization Extensions (TSX) to protect Intel processors up to and including the 10th generation, is minor. read more

In the latest Windows 10 Home Insider Build, Microsoft introduced an option to connect to Windows with accounts without passwords.

Passwords are certainly one of the Achilles’ heels of account security; a recent study on password leakage in 2018 showed that Internet users still use about the same insecure passwords as five years ago.

Password weakness is not only the user’s fault; companies are reluctant to establish rules that are too restrictive for password definition.

Users who register for a Microsoft account must assign them a password. Although it is theoretically possible to create a local Windows account without a password and even to configure Windows for automatic login, all Windows accounts that are Microsoft accounts also require a password; this can change with Windows 10 version 1903, as Microsoft has introduced a new option in recent internal versions.

Configuring user accounts without passwords under Windows 10

This is only possible for a new user account. To activate a user account with this function, you must open the Windows 10 Settings application.

Go to Accounts > Family and Other Users > Add another person to this computer.

Enter the details required by the new mini window that appears. You must enter the phone number because you are creating an account without a password.

Lock your computer.

Now select the user account for the phone number you entered.

Your account will not have a password for the moment, but you will be asked to authenticate with an automatically generated PIN – which you will receive on your phone number.

Select Connection options > PIN.

There may be a reason why you want to uninstall the integrated Windows 10 Photos application that is installed on your PC. How to uninstall the Windows 10 Photos application with Powershell

Procedure 1:

Close the Photo application if you have just opened it.

In the Cortana/Windows Search box, type powerhell.

Click on’Windows PowerShell’ when it appears – right-click and select’Run as administrator’.

In the PowerShell window, type the following command (tip: Copy and paste saves errors)

Download AppxPackage *Photo* | Delete AppxPackage

The message “Progress of the deployment process…” appears temporarily. When this happens, the uninstallation is complete.

The Photo application has now disappeared and the Windows Photo Viewer software is now used to open your images.
